For Boys and Girls in Year 8

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is the most common viral sexually transmitted infection which can progress to cancer. The HPV vaccine protects against HPV related diseases such as oral, throat and anal/genital cancers as well as cervical cancer in girls. Cervical cancer is the 2nd most common women's cancer in the world, with around 3000 cases diagnosed in the UK every year. The vaccine is being offered to Boys and Girls in Year 8 at school.

To give consent/non consent for this vaccination please click the "Complete consent form" button and complete and submit the online form.

If, after submitting a consent form you arrange for your child to be vaccinated by your GP, or you change your mind regarding consent you MUST contact the Immunisation Team on 01484 368500 to inform us.

For any consented child that is absent from school on the day of vaccination the Team will be making a followup visit to each school.
